When Mind in Croydon acquired 'Plot 26' it was overgrown with around 40 fruit trees on it. There was an old derelict shed filled with junk and a tiny run-down greenhouse that was non-repairable. It required a lot of attention and hard work as these photos will show.
For two days (10/11 October 06) Direct Line, Three Hands and staff/members from Mind in Croydon got to grips with preparing, structuring and designing 'Plot 26'.

Our shed and greenhouse was donated to us by Direct Line Insurance. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them. The shed was erected on Tuesday 31st October 06 and the greenhouse on Wednesday 15th November 06.
On 2nd November 06 we covered the weed suppressant membrane with stone shingle. This created the pathways to our plot.
During the Spring and Summer months John Rooney and all members of the project have worked extremely hard on the allotment. Check out these Summer pictures.
